Association of Physicians of Surat (APS) is a professional body of Consultant Physician of Surat formed in 1971. Its members are physicians with post graduate qualification in different specialities registered to GMC / MCI / NMC of India. Currently the membership of Association is 360 in number and it is increasing every year. Obviously APS is the most elite physician’s fraternity in Surat & South Gujarat.
APS conducts various educational and professional activities for its members throughout the year. The vision of few stalwart physician of Surat give birth to the idea of forming APS in 1971 mainly to provide a common forum to the physician of Surat to meet and to share experience & research observations in the field of medicine.
The names of founder members of APS are Dr R K Desai, Dr R H Shah, Dr G J Kazi, Dr B R Parikh, Dr R I Desai, Dr N M Patel, Dr N R Mehta & few others. The first President of APS was Dr R K Desai.
APS also has the honor of hosting state level APG conferences. The last one was hosted in 2019.
